SHA have an amazing outing planned for members to visit the recreated farm of the last century, Soetmelksvlei, at Babylonstoring. The entrance fee is normally R300 per head but we have been granted free entrance for SHA members.
The date for this visit is Friday the 19th of July..... But, we have to let the hosts know about the number of attendees by Monday morning 8th July.
The program will work as follows:
We will depart from Zandrift Restaurant parking grounds promptly at 07h30. There the sharing of cars etc can be arranged.
The distance (one way) is 180 km (around 2h 15 mins) via Worcester with 1 toll. Therefore, those lifting with someone else, please contribute to petrol costs.
At the entrance to Babylonstoring we will be given free entry to the parking grounds. From there, a shuttle bus (10 people at a time) will ferry us to our destination, Soetmelksvlei. The same applies to getting back to the parking lot once you wish to leave. I recommend therefore that "car groups" arrange a meeting place and time for departure or stay in touch by phone. Our host says the visit will take around 4 hours.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and a hat.

There is a restaurant on the premises and our host says a meal will cost around R300. You are not obliged to eat there, but supporting them would be a nice gesture in return.
